Pastor Renata Eustis
Pastor Renata Eustis has a rich personal spiritual life that informs all she does as a pastor. She is currently in her eighth year of service to Christ Lutheran Church, and is our first female pastor. She previously served as a chaplain, and has particular gifts in care for the sick. She is deeply committed to social justice, and has served as a pastor to a Latino immigrant church in the area. She embraces congregational leadership, including supporting the recent major renovation of our building, which has resulted in a beautifully upgraded building with handicap access. Pastor Renata is a dedicated runner and yoga student…and, if being the pastor for our congregation is not enough to keep her busy, she is married and the proud mother of three lovely daughters, Clare, May and Sara.
A native Washingtonian, Gerry Coleman has a huge heart and a delightful sense of humor. He is an accomplished musician who excels at everything from Bach to gospel, and blesses Christ Lutheran Church as an organist, pianist and choir director. He has earned the tee-shirt: “Hymns are the original ‘soul’ music.” Perhaps most importantly, Gerry is an ordained minister himself, and brings his spiritual gifts and theological understanding to the planning of our worship experience. Our children love Gerry and believe it when he sings “God is wild about you.” And our adults love making music with him and being blessed by the music in our worship services.
