Housing Up, formerly THC, was founded in 1990 as a faith-based homeless services organization through a partnership between several DC organizations and Christ Lutheran Church (CLC). Housing Up provides housing and comprehensive support services to homeless and at-risk families so that they can transform their own lives. CLC donates a major portion of the proceeds from its annual September yard sale in support of Housing Up’s activities. Housing Up hopes to end family homelessness in Washington, DC by the year 2020.
